Father Ciprian Sas
Fr. Ciprian Sas was born in Timisoara, Romania in 1975. When he was 13 years
old, his parents fled Romania with intentions to reunite with their five minor children (ages 3-15) in the "free world". Following 8-10 months of pressures from the Swedish Government and the International Red Cross on the Romanian Communist Government, he and his siblings were reunited with their parents in Sweden, where they lived for one year before moving to Canada. Fr. Ciprian received his theology degree from St. Andrew's College in Canada and a Masters in International Business from St. Mary's University in Minnesota. In August
2001, he met a fellow doctoral student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, his Presbytera-to-be Magdalena Sas. Since October 2002, their marriage has been blessed with three beautiful children (Elijah-9, Emanuela-8, and Isaiah-4) and the completion of their Ph.D. degrees in Educational Psychology. Fr. Ciprian served St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Cedar Rapids, IA for almost 7 years prior to his recent assignment to All Saints Greek Orthodox Church in Peoria, IL on October 2012.
